Sunway Lagoon, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The world's largest wave pool by WhiteWater.

WhiteWater has designed and built the largest wave pools in the world including Sunway Lagoon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. These mega-pools use patented hydraulic pumping systems to create massive waves, in some cases up to 9 feet in height, which people can actually surf on. The largest wave pools in the world range from 75,000 to 140,000 square feet. Sunway Lagoon measuring the largest at 139,800 square feet (13,000 square meters).

Located in Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, Sunway Surf Beach has undergone a major facelift; the old tiled landscape surrounding the surf pool has been transformed with the placement of 6000 tons of sand, palm trees and huts in the area, creating a tropical beach oasis in the middle of the city. City dwellers no longer need to travel tormenting long distances to have a fulfilling seaside experience. This unique venue has been an irresistible draw to some of the world's most prestigious entertainment events.
