Employee Spotlight: Christina Peng
| 3 min read
An integral member of our Sales Operations team, Christina Peng is our Bid & Proposals Coordinator, responsible for helping to create bid proposals and RFPs (Request for Proposals) that our Sales Team sends out. Originally from Taiwan, Christina loves spending her free time driving with her four dogs and looking at the Real Estate Market (total Economics major through and through).
I grew up in Taiwan before immigrating to Canada with my family in Grade 9 (when I was about 14 years old). After attending high school in Canada, I was accepted into the University of British Columbia and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I previously worked for a logistics company for 7 years and a paper company in Taiwan for almost 3 years before deciding to spend the rest of my life in Canada with my husband and our four dogs.

My role at WhiteWater keeps me busy doing a variety of things. But, primarily, I coordinate and compile bid proposals and contracts of RFPs inquiries from our Sales team.
The most rewarding part of my role is being able to see the company be awarded projects and have WhiteWater sign contracts from RFPs that our team worked on as sales orders.
The one thing that surprised me about working at WhiteWater is the collaboration and amount of teamwork. Our proposals are never one man’s job, our team is constantly using collaboration and teamwork as a key to success. I feel very fortunate to work in an environment where everyone is always working cooperatively towards the same goal to get it done.
If I could snap my fingers and become an expert in something, I would be an expert of mind reading. If I was able to read a client’s mind, I would be able to make a great proposal on the spot, eliminating any future revisions and creating a much more efficient process for the team.
Keanu Reeves. I would want to be famous for being a dedicated individual who works actively to help people in society, just like Keanu Reeves.

After a little more than 2 years working at WhiteWater what still surprises me about my role is the amount of work involved with a proposal. There is a lot of overlap and cross department work there involved in a proposal so it requires a lot of coordination to get everyone to work together to complete the proposal. The behind the scenes work is amazing!
I would love to go on a two-week road trip to the interior of British Columbia with my husband and our four dogs.

Outside of work I enjoy looking at the Vancouver Real Estate Market, taking my dogs on a car ride, and researching do-it-yourself projects for home improvement on YouTube.

I love taking my dogs out for a walk in the park because I enjoy watching them run around and be so happy. This makes me feel really fortunate.
