Collaborator Profile: Water Technology, Inc.

In the next installment of our Collaborator Profile series, we’d like to spotlight Water Technology, Inc. (WTI), whom we’ve worked with for almost four decades. WTI integrates WhiteWater’s solutions into their innovative aquatic environments to create impactful parks around the world. One of our favorite and most widely-recognized projects to date is Yas WaterWorld in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which opened in 2013.

Together, our teams broke the mold and wowed the industry with ground-breaking rides, immersive theming, memorable guest experience, and today, the park continues to excite patrons from around the world. In fact, the World Travel Awards has just awarded Yas WaterWorld the title of “World’s Leading Waterpark”.

One of the reasons why we love working with WTI is that their strength lies in their depth and diversity of project venues and markets. They have been instrumental in designing our slides into municipally-owned and operated water parks like Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark, located within Wannamaker County Park (North Charleston, SC) and the Otter Co-Op Outdoor Experience (Langley, BC), which offers Western Canada its only year-round outdoor aquatic amenity. Whirlin’ Waters’ most recent addition, “The Washout” features two slides, a Boomerango and Tailspin + AquaSphere + Rattler Fusion, which opened in May 2019, and is our largest municipal project this year.

We have also collaborated on memorable projects for Sea World and Cedar Fair and we are excited about Aqua Nick that is about to begin construction in Riviera Maya. We have many more exciting projects that are in the pipeline which we’ll have to keep under wraps until they open to the public. Keep an eye out for some of these new and innovative water parks opening in the next few years!
