The FlowRider® Island takes the world’s most popular surf simulator off the ground and onto the water. This self-contained, floating attraction anchors to a dock, a lagoon bed, or a superyacht — no civil works, no dedicated tank, no fixed infrastructure required. Built on FlowRider’s patented drop-stitch technology with an integrated power module, it delivers the same continuous sheet wave experience guests know and love, with wipeouts that flow safely into the surrounding water. For resorts, freshwater waterfront venues, and operators looking to activate a body of water rather than build around one, the Island opens up a completely new category of surf experience.
Product Specifications
The FlowRider Island is self-contained and anchor-dependent — requiring secure anchor points for proper operation, a minimum water depth of 1.4 m, and 50 ft of clearance behind the wave. Its compact footprint and single-phase power module make it one of the most infrastructure-efficient attractions in the FlowRider lineup, deployable in locations where a conventional FlowRider installation would be impossible.
