As part of Zoo Miami’s 2016 expansion called “Florida: Mission Everglades,” a new guest-favourite attraction opened to give visitors a taste of these famous wetlands—on a vehicle themed like an airboat, no less. Called “Lostman’s River,” this Water Transportation System takes guests past animal habitats and whimsical theming elements, with mists, geysers, and arch jets providing riders a cool reprieve on a hot summer’s day.

In the winter, this attraction turns into a holiday delight with Christmas lights and decorations, demonstrating the versatility of the water ride to provide unique experiences. As well, this ride has an ADA-accessible boat that allows everyone to enjoy the journey.
